AI-Based Power-Line Monitoring

iTech Group applies unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and AI-based analytics for the safe, fast and precise monitoring of power transmission and distribution networks. Our solution replaces traditional manual inspections with a digital monitoring system — optimizing maintenance, reducing operational risk and making asset management far more efficient.

Drones equipped with high-resolution cameras, thermal imaging and GPS/GNSS scan power lines, pylons, transformers and other critical infrastructure in a short time. The collected data is processed on an AI-based analysis platform; wear, corrosion, insulation faults, mechanical damage, vegetation risk and other potential failures are automatically detected and prioritized.

Every detected defect is delivered as a digital report with the asset ID, GPS coordinates, photo and video evidence, a technical description and a risk level. The system automatically creates work orders, tracks the repair process and stores all data in asset-management platforms, supporting a predictive-maintenance strategy.

AI-Based Power-Line Monitoring

Reporting

Findings are prioritized by severity and turned into work orders, tracked through to repair.

High-resolution imagery

Each pole is captured from multiple angles for a complete, reviewable record.

Data processing

Imagery is processed into structured, queryable asset data and stored in databases.

AI-powered
Higher Auto-Inspection Efficiency

Higher Auto-Inspection Efficiency

UAVs fly preset routes for 24/7 unattended checks. HD/IR gimbals with RTK and LiDAR greatly boost line-inspection efficiency.

Faster Anomaly Response

Faster Anomaly Response

Line-hazard detection, image recognition and risk algorithms catch grid issues early with instant alerts; automated handling raises efficiency by 30%.

Fewer Manpower Requirements

Fewer Manpower Requirements

UAVs replace manual inspections, cutting labor needs by over 50%.

Benefits

Early detection prevents small defects from becoming outages

Lower inspection cost and faster coverage than manual patrols

Safer — crews stay grounded while drones cover difficult spans

Every defect is geolocated and tied to its pole's asset ID
